Young Adult Leadership Symposium (YALS) is a six-month program that prepares people to lead in local congregations, on campus, or in the community. YALS supports them in designing and implementing their own project. This is not a leadership team, but rather a leadership lab where those who have completed high school can explore their gifts, receive wisdom from other leaders, and imagine new possibilities for the communities where they live. Much of YALS is asynchronous, through videos and readings. In person meetings are held with mentors and cohort groups each month, reflecting on what they learned and imagining how it can be applied.

With YALS launching in 2026, there are no previous project examples from young adult participants but you can see some of the work our Youth Leadership Symposium imagined and accomplished below.
